    On the other hand, I would appreciate someone taking the time to email their request for a phone call. Maybe they realize you may be involved with something that you do not want to be interrupted from. The email is a POLITE way is asking for your time when it is Best for you.I totally agree with someone asking you to hold. I think that is a Narcissistic way of doing business.

    Thanks for your thoughtful comment. It still might be more appropriate to e-mail for permission to call…rather than put the burden of responsibility on the person being called.
